2024 : A Day at the Museum - Saturday, November 2, 2024, 10 am to 2 pm.

Featuring Archeology and Geology

Location: Real County Historical Museum, 161 Evergreen St. Leakey, Texas.
The Real County Historical Museum would like to invite you to “A Day at the Museum: Featuring Archeology and Geology”. Join us for this special fun-filled day. David Barklow will present a program about the Indigenous Peoples of Real County. We will have a petroglyph, points, fossils, and petrified woods to view. There will be demonstrations on the use of various archaic tools and fun things for the kids, including a dig! Did I mention Door prizes for the kids and adults? If you are an arrowhead or fossil collector you are welcome to set up a table at no cost to display your collection. If you want to display, bring your table, chair, and canopy if you have or want one. Don’t have a canopy? We have a lot of shade! We do request that you stay with your collection. Just know that we would love to have you to present your display or just admire others!! For more information email lkirkpatricktx@gmail.com
